AI Traffic Program - Greg AS#147 - 02-05-2012
Does anyone know of another AI Program other then Ultimate Traffic X2? I am finding that as soon as the AI kicks in, my FPS drop quite a bit. I am wondering if there is another AI Program that might not hit the FPS as hard or at all for that matter. Any ideas or opinions are appriciated.

All of the WOAI packages will work with FSX if you convert them to FSX format.

The program works with FSX, just impacts the FPS as soon as it starts. Is there a way to convert it so it does not impact the FPS? WIthout running Ultimate Traffic my FPS is extremely high, but depending on the area, Atlanta, JFK, Newark, ect., ect., it drops quite dramatically, but only with Ultimate Traffic running. I do like to have my AI running as well as it makes it more realistic. I am always buying their schedule updates as well to keep flights up to date.

Any AI traffic is going to impact your FPS. What are you talking about: "convert it so it does not impact the FPS?" No, you cannot convert anything in Ultimate Traffic.
WOAI stand for World of AI, a web site that has FREE AI traffic for FS04 and for FSX: http://www.world-of-ai.com/
On lower powered computers it can help with FPS. Or if you are going to use UT, then turn down the traffic slider.

If My traffic 2006 is still available (was pay but now free) this is a good AI traffic program ,with a low impact on frames because the models are all DXT1 (means that close up the A.I is not as good as some other AI progs IE i used to use Just Flight's Traffic2005 ,much nicerlooking AI models ,but harder on frames)
IF you are a stickler for reality though I would imagine some of the airlines in My traffic 2006 are now longer flying in reality (hard economic times) and are not updateable.
For me its fine though.
Even has an option that allows you to use period AI I.E. models from the sixties,seventies eighties etc in stead of present day.

Unfortunately I am a sticler for reality...lol. My FPS only slow down in the major airports. I do apriciate your response though. One day I will resolve the problem and just build a better computer...lol.
