Flights go missing from DataBase - Jannier - 07-26-2017 Hi, Not sure if this is a problem so I am reporting it and hopefully in the correct forum. I have a feeling/suspicion that some flights are being deleted or lost from the database. Example: BA107, EGLL - OMDB with B747-400. http://www.flightstats.com/go/FlightSta ... 2017-07-26 I have added and flown this flight before to/from the database, but today when I went to search for this flight it was missing from the database again. I did a Traditional Flight Search and Search By Aircraft but could not find the flight. I can add the flight again to he database no problem and fly it, but thought I would just report this issue in case I am doing something wrong or there is some "unknown" issue with database. Cheers, Jannie Re: Flights go missing from DataBase - Alan Black AS122 - 07-27-2017 Yep... something is odd with this. I just did an update of BAW in late April, and I went back and looked at my sheet to see if maybe I had missed it, but I had 3 LHR-DXB flights in that update (107 in the 744, 105/109 in the 772). Looking at the DB now, I only see 107, which was added today via the kiosk. We do have history of what was recently added/deleted, but I don't see anything there regarding these flights. I'll see if one of the guys with back-end DB access might have more tools we can use. In the meantime though, if you come up against any more examples, feel free to message me directly. I don't always get out here to the forums, but I'm pretty up to date on my e-mail. As you said, it can be added from the kiosk without too much bother, but we do want to know if something is going on to try and fix it. Re: Flights go missing from DataBase - AS 2 Tom Little - 07-28-2017 Hello, I did some further investigating, and at least I found where the audit system caught this below (not the same flights but were you removing flights at this date/time?): [delete record]1463143[fn]109[airline]EIN[fltid]1463143[dep3t]DUB[dep4t]EIDW[arv3t]JFK[arv4t]KJFK[aircraft3t]330[freq10t]Daily[pilno]122[mgrFullName]Alan Black[fslink] [delete record]1463142[fn]105[airline]EIN[fltid]1463142[dep3t]DUB[dep4t]EIDW[arv3t]JFK[arv4t]KJFK[aircraft3t]330[freq10t]Daily[pilno]122[mgrFullName]Alan Black[fslink] The data is pretty vague, and does not give the page where this happened. It is likely a bug on the remove flights page I gather.. The date/time was 7/26/2017 7:34:26 AM UTC if that may help you recall what you were doing at that time Alan  Re: Flights go missing from DataBase - Alan Black AS122 - 07-28-2017 Go figure I do know what I was doing then. I did an update of all flights out of DUB that day, and that was the old EIN105/109 getting deleted after I had uploaded the new batch of flights. I've been watching that report, and it does seem to be reporting accurately to what I am doing. I'm at a loss on the BAW105/109 though since I know I uploaded them in April, and they are indeed missing as of now. Maybe if more examples come up, we'll be able to dig and come up with an answer. It's tough because we don't know exactly when they're getting deleted, and I know the SQL query we'd need to go back and find something that happened at some time in the last 3 months would be a bear to run as there are so many changes to that DB. Re: Flights go missing from DataBase - Jannier - 07-30-2017 OK, here are 2 more flights missing. BA55 and BA57 EGLL to FAOR BA289 ( I just added this one via Kiosk to fly it) LHR to PHX BA203 LHR to BOS BA288 ( I added this one via Kiosk to fly it) PHX to LHR Re: Flights go missing from DataBase - Alan Black AS122 - 08-07-2017 ok... we should be good to go on this now. I was able to export the current schedule and compare it to the spreadsheet I had from the April update and found a little over 500 flights that were missing. I just created a new spreadsheet with the missing flights and got it uploaded, so you should have all the flights you are looking for out there now. Let me know if you bump in to anything else like this. Thanks... Re: Flights go missing from DataBase - Jannier - 08-07-2017 Will do. Thanks Alan. Cheers, Jannie |
