AS DAL 1773 KBOS KLAX Multiple Shots 2: - Guest - 11-19-2006 AS DAL 1773 Nose On for KLAX AS DAL 1773 CRZ FL340 for KLAX AS DAL 1773 FL340 with Clevland Center AS DAL Clear RWY 25R Followed Missed APP, CRJ on runway. Low visibility into KLAX (to the ground). Finally saw RWY 25R over the Threshold. AS Dal 1773 on the ground KLAX, RWY 25R disappearing into the low ceiling. AS DAL 1773 taxing for gate B72. Finding the gate was not unlike catching a glimpse of RWY 25R on the way in. AS DAL 1773 Taxing for Gate B72 with KLAX Tower vaguely in background. AS DAL 1773 Long flight, Missed APP, Low Vis, At Gate B72, priceless. - AS 506 Jay Kae - 11-21-2006 Love that haze !! - Guest - 11-21-2006 It made for some good shots, but despite having AS weather files in hand, I flew right into it unprepared. It made for a rather tense APP and landing. It actually felt good to be pulled up at the gate. Riding the GS down, I was a bit anxious awaiting a glimpse of the runway. I've had a time or two when FS ILS has brough me in off-set to the runway. Makes decision height take on a whole new meaning.
