Hair raising ASHA flight - Guest - 09-03-2007

I have moved to Bolivia to complete more training flights with the ASHA Training division. This flight seemed to be going as planned until a loss of avionics left me with only my backup instuments.

Details of the flight are here

Here I am taking off at over 12oooft.

Slowly climbing out ot 17oooft

At altitude, it was about here that I lost my avionics.

No joy trouble shooting the avionics, but having been vectored to the airfield I start my decsent to land.

I over fly the field to get a look at what I am up against.

I have to go around on the first attempt to land as I was carrying to much speed.

Now on my second approach with my speed under control

On the runway with brakes on and engines on full reverse.

I had just about managed to stop on the runway, here I am parked up.

Nice scenery & Pics!

Thanks. The aircraft is the Aeroworx Beech King Air, a cracking piece of software. The scenery is just Ground Environment Pro II and, Global FS and ActiveSky6.

I got a real sense of achievment landing this one, it would have been very tough anyway, but with no attitude display it was just that little more interesting Smile
