777 ASHA Flight to Laos - Guest - 09-28-2008

Thought I'd share some images from and ASHA flight I completed yesterday, dropping medical supplies to Wattay Int'l in Laos.

Here we are taxiing out of the Cargo area of Guam Int'l.

After getting clearance we depart from runway 26R.

Raising the gear as we climb away into the murky skies over Guam.

At 35ooo feet we clear the many layers of cloud and break out into clear skies.

Decsending into Loas.

Following vectors from ATC we have intercepted the ILS and leave the auto pilot to fly the approach.

Now we have visual and so switch off the auto pilot and enjoy the landing.

Racing towards the threshold of runway 13.

Safely down we are about to hit reverse thrust while my co-pilot prepares to fire up the APU.

Well, these are the shots, hope you like them. The aircraft is 777 Professional from PSS and is using Shockwave 3D lights for the great lights on the aircraft.

Excellent shots Darren. With that sort of rain, Guam could be the next place to need ASHA!

Well done Darren, a very fine collection of pics - inclement weather is always challenging! Thanks for your contribution.

Splendid shots as usual. Approach pics are a HIT.

Great shots. I like the rain. I usually fly in real weather and I like it when I pop into the airport and it is raining or even snowing. Makes for a great challenge.
