Title: How to edit sound.cfg files?
Threaded Mode
#1
Hi Guys,

I have just installed My Traffic X 5.3 (by B.Renk) and I find the AI traffic good with little frame hit.

The problem is that the AI sounds are way too loud and you can hear them better than your own engine (inside the cockpit). I was wondering is anybody has the knowledge on how to edit the sound.cfg file for the purpose of DECREASING the AI sound volume.

Hi,

For each Ai plane you are going to look for a soundai file, open it with Notepad and then lower the OutsideConeVolume value.

Or take each sound wave and use a wave editor to reduce the volume of each wave file.

Thanks Jim.

I edited the soundai.cfg files as it is easier, compared to the second idea.

The method works... AI sounds now are greatly reduced.
