Title: McDonnell Douglas
Threaded Mode
#1
Just a bit of trivia when looking up aircraft types to fly a Schedule Division flight that maybe our very dedicated bosses may like to amend.
When looking up a Douglas aircraft type from the DC3 through to DC-9 they are listed under McDonnell Douglas and not Douglas in the drop down menu, these aircraft were pure Douglas not MDs.
McDonnell and Douglas did not merge until 1967 and the first aircraft under the MD title was the DC-10 in 1968.
No big deal regarding this listing but in my opinion it would be nice to see these earlier Douglas aircraft listed under their proper Douglas name or is there a reason for listing them as MD aircraft.

Thanks for reading
Rob
