Title: ASHA Emergency Flight into FZKC
Threaded Mode
#1
Yesterday I completed a couple of Emergency Flights in the Bell 412 Helicopter (N120LA) for the flooding in Kenya for OPROTARY.

One the flights made me thankful I was proficient in the operation of a helicopter as I certainly don't think I would have wanted to take a fixed wing into this airfield.

FZKC (Mahagi, Democratic Republic of the Congo - near the border with Uganda) lies in the bottom of a crater!

He's my approach and landing:

Hope you like!

Good place for people wanting some interesting rotaryops to go fly in and out of.

For my departure, I completed a vertical lift to 2,000 ft AGL before commencing my transational lift, really had the torque working overtime!
