I'm flying up to Bahrain next week to attend the above airshow which will run from 21-23 Jan incl. If there are any other AS pilots out there who are also attending, send me a PM and i'll give you my contact number, perhaps we could meet up (if watching the flying shows doesn't keep us too busy!).

I've just returned form the inaugural Bahrain airshow and it was very nice indeed. There was a "surprise" B1 that screamed through and an interesting show put on by a GulfAir A340... airshow ran for almost three hourse and I have to say the highlight was the Saudi Air Force Hawk routine - quite awesome!

I was staying at the same hotel as the French Air Force aerobatic team and ended up chatting with them on the transport trips out to the Air Base - shamefully my schoolboy French was worse than I thought, but gave them lots of laughs! :lol:

Unfortunately I don't have pictures show - I gave up trying to take good photos at airshows years ago and found that I didn't enjoy airshows as much with my eyes behind a camera lens!

That sounds very nice! Can't wait until I can get to a couple more airshows around here - just a matter of time!
