Bengaluru! A jolly fine name Big Grin , but does it exist? VOBL is not in my FS9. Could you possibly mean Bangalore? (which does exist in my FS9) are they perhaps one and the same.

Both VOBL and VOBG are in the same area. VOBG used to be the main airport, however a new airport has been built (VOBL) which handles all intl flights. VOBL scenery is available on flightsim.com. VOBG is used by the Indian Air Force. In terms of airport names:

VOBL - Bengaluru Intl Airport
VOBG - HAL Bengalore Intl Airport (HAL stands for Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd).

Thanks Norm for clarifying that for me.It means a flight I filed the other night was not strictly correct. As I thought there I had been an error in the naming of Bangalore I actually flew from Bangalore and not VOBL to somewhere else I can't remember now.
I will make sure I punish myself mercilessly for that error. Big Grin
cheers Andy
