Title: expiration of flight

went to finish a flight tonite of which I already flowng almost 6 hours of.. and found that the flight expired on 12/16/10 .. however at the time of this message it is 7:59 PST 12/16/2010 here in Washington.. now I will receive a 88,000 dollar fine.. I dont think this is rite or fair for that matter

Sorry to hear about the flight deadline passing.

Both the bid and ASHA division deadlines are based upon Zulu time (GMT/UTC), not PST. For ASHA, deadline dates and times are marked GMT/UTC on each flight's booking summary, while the Bid Division lists it in their rules and regs (http://www.air-source.us/Operations/BID/RULES.asp).

Live and learn, I guess. At least it's only virtual dollars and not real dollars! :?

Hi All,

Just to clarify, the flights are base on Z time, but when they expire is based on the AirSource server time. The server is +5Z, based on Tom's location. So when the server rolls from one day to the next, that is when flights expire.

Also, MyAAS will always tell you how long it is until a flight expires.
