I've just registered to go on vacation temporarily - my current PC is totally borked ! Looks like this is going to be the event that forces me to make the jump to P3D. I'm currently researching prices for a new set up, but looking to the future, see little point in installing FSX on a brand new machine. Any of you folks having good experiences with P3D ?
My main grouch is going to be re purchasing my PMDG stuff and losing the MD-11 which is a real favourite.

I made the jump to P3D and didnt like it for a few reasons , i will wait and see what Dovetail offer in a couple of months .

To me its pointless switching because its still not 64 bit so the more little things they add like moving trees and HDR and so on the more chance you will oom

Hello Neil.

I start using FSX-SE from Steam.
You still can use your PMDG 737 and 777.
The MD11 seems to be difficult to install.
I try to follow some guidance on the steam forum for proper installation of the MD11 to FSX-SE.
My frame rates are on the ground in heavy airports is around 45 to 60.
In the air with ORBX america and europe and vectors and airports,
AS16 and all payware aircraft with fs2crew around 90 to 100.
DX10 is working fine and sliders are set to get max preformance with Steve's dx10 fixer.

Very stable and better preformance then FSX in the past.
