Title: How do you fly?
Linear Mode
#1
Was wondering how you all plan out and fly your Air Source flights....? I know there are a few out there who have actual flying experience and the majority of us who flight-sim as a great alternative to getting off our duffs and getting lessons.

I know for the longest time, I picked out my routes and made a route in FSNavigator and just flew it or let FS9 plan my route out and fly IFR with ATC telling me what to do.

Recently (in the past few weeks), I have started to use the knowledge I have gained from flying in flight-sim all these years and actually plan my flights out before hand. Checking NOTAM's and weather forecasts. Using navigation programs and sectional charts to actually plan my routes to be much more closer to real-life flying than ever before. I find myself spending 45 minutes to an hour actually making my flight plans now.

I have to say it's been an eye opening experience for me to apply what I have learned to this hobby of virtual flying.

How do the rest of you feel how you plan out your flight-sim activities?
