Hey Tom,

Can I still donate? (better late than never, eh?)

And as a small token of appreciation as has been the case for a long time, donating members receive unlimited screenshot uploads ....

Best Regards,
Tom

Thanks Tom!
Hey, can I trade 1/2 of my uploads for an AAS homepage that remembers my login . . . ? Big Grin

Chuck

It could be done, but would require reworking of over 100 pages of the website... I don't think delaying the new GA division (yes it IS still in development!!) and other goodies would be what the majority of our members want in order to have longer logins but if so I would hope they could speak up.

With that said, I surely take your request seriously and also agree it is a bit of a pain to login every 15 minutes if inactive. The problem is that my programming knowledge was limited at best years ago and now I know of ways to get around "hitting up the database" every time a page is opened (the original problem I had was that if using cookies how could I validate the member is still "active" without also hitting the database every time?) Well I now know of some work arounds, but editing each page would take a long, long time. But let me bookmark this and see if I can come up with any quicker ways.

Don't even sweat it Tom! I was feeling a bit "de-pressed" that night and just wanted to whine. (Get it? Huh?
De-PRESSED"?? Nyuk-nyuk-nyuk=nyuk-nyuk!) You have bigger fish to fry and in the grand scheme of things a few more buttons to press is nothing . . .!

I think I'd appreciate a fix of the screenshot feature on AAS or integration of it into MyAAS. Those were kind of neat for getting conversations started.

Keep going in the direction you think best! I'm not a programmer but if there's anything I can do to help, let me know.

I have to admit I don't often read the forums, however tonight I decided to take a peek and found this thread.

As I enjoy the freedom of Air Source I'm more than happy to add a little into the pot from across here in the UK. I know it's a bit late but hopefully it will be useful for next time.

Regards,
Ian
