I use quite a lot of AI to make the airports and jetways more interesting, however, what is the best or even the easiest way to re-assign airlines to their proper gates within the afcad (af2 or afx) which is supplied with the airport sceneries.

I think Airport Design Editor is the current best. Haven't given it a try myself though.
