I kind of like it. Just started playing around with it, so trying to see what it can and can't do, but I definately like the map view for following along with my flight.
Thanks for pointing it out!
I must say for a freebie it pretty good although I have found a few inaccuracies with it compared to Skyvector and the AIP's like missing enroute Navaids and runway information.
For a local jaunt it's fine, long haul not so good. Just my opinion.
Cheers
Rob
Thanks, no I didn't know that.
I am not knocking it, I use it occasionally myself for a reference check, I just prefer Sky Vector and AIP for flight planning.
To each his own, just enjoy the hobby is the main thing.
Cheers

Oh yes, SkyVector is excellent as well - when I plan airliner flights I use SkyVector; it allows you to retrieve popular flight plans used by airlines and/or GA pilots, very powerful! And the maps are useful too, being aviation maps! I'll need to check out AIP.
Yes Tom, the AIP's are excellent as they are for real world, many are Jeppeson or the countries goverment charts.
Down under where I live the Australian and New Zealand AIP's come in one bundle for every airport so you jus have to click on the alphabetical listing for your airport information.
Alternately you can just put in the airport four letter code and add the word charts e.g. YBBN Charts or KJFK charts.
Have fun looking and planning.

Rob
