Title: Just for fun...

Want to see the flight path you took?

Have a look here - http://myaas2.jbham.net/FlightPointsViewer/. The Google Earth plug-in will need to be installed in your browser for this to work. Just click on a flight and select "View Selected Flight".

Just some notes:
  • - only the latest 200 flights are shown.
    - versions earlier than the latest (2.0.1002) will either end up with long paths going below ground or showing multiple/strange results.
    - just noticed that low flights around 3000-5000 ft will end up with paths going below ground (need to figure out how to adjust this).
    - if you have a problem with your flights not showing any points: you will probably need to delete your myaas2.db and start again with it (there's maybe only 1 or 2 of you).
We are trying to figure out the best way to incorporate this into the website, but figured we would open it up to viewing until then.

Thanks to Joe for his hard work on this, it's awesome! I've been testing it for Joe and Tom over the past couple of months and love it.

And if you want to boast to your family and friends, you can even download the kmz file and save it for Google Earth!

A nice Christmas present from AirSource.

THANKS JOE!

@Mark - thanks for doing a multi-leg flight. Now I can work on different colors for each leg.

Just a quick fix-

Noticed a problem that the selected flight wouldn't show (and no error box given) if the airline name had quotation marks in it. This has been fixed.

Not sure if anyone is using this but, I have finally added different colors for each leg (you might need to refresh your browser).

Not quite the best colors but they work.

Thanks Joe. I really like the way it tracks your flight. Even shows the go-arounds.

Great add-on. Looking forward to an in-flight test. Thanks.
