Title: AIRSOURCE HONOUR MEDALS AWARDED
Threaded Mode
#1
The AirSource Honour Medal is the highest honour that can be bestowed upon a member of this Union. It recognises dedication, regular involvement behind the scenes and active participation in all aspects and Divisions within the Union.

It is with great pleasure that I can announce that the AirSource Honour Medal has been bestowed upon:

Mark Richards (AS380): Vice-President Bid Flight Division, EMT
Henk Van De Meeberg (AS123): Vice-President AirSource Humanitarian Division, EMT.

Mark joined AirSource on 16 July 2005 and served a period of time as a Schedule Development Officer in the ASHA Division as well as being involved in events conducted by the Bid Flight Division - which eventually led him to being appointed as VP for that Division. Mark is busy guy but has always found time to dedicate to AirSource and is most worthy of this honour - thanks Mark for the good work of the past and that which continues today.

Henk has been with AirSource since since 29 January 2004 and has spent almost all of his flying time working for AirSource in the ASHA Division. He joined the ranks of the Division as an SDO in the rank of Lieutenant, and has risen to the highest rank of ASHA Division Commander. Henk has dedicated a great deal of time over the years creating schedules for ASHA and continues to lead that Division in a highly professional manner - thanks Henk for your continued participation and dedication to AirSource.

On behalf of AirSource, congratulations to you both.

   Double Blush

Thanks Norm and the other members of the EMT for this honour, it's truly humbling.

I love what I do here at AirSource even if I don't sometimes have the time I wish to do a lot more than I do, such is the joy of working 60-70 hours a week in my real job as well as another 20+ for VATSIM. I'm really fortunate to have an understanding partner who never jumps up and down when I spend hours on end sitting in my computer room or flying virtually all over the world talking to my computer!

And my congratulations to Henk as well for his highly deserved award, well more deserved than mine! Henk has been a stalwart of ASHA since I first joined AirSource way back when. WELL DONE HENK!

Finally I would like to acknowledge the hard work of the other EMT members and the AirSource Bid Division Contract Development Officers whom make things tick over day by day so that all members can enjoy the benefits of the most unique Pilot's Union on the Internet!

Thanks once again to all.

Thank you Norm for awarding me. It's an honour.
Also thanks for all the other congratulations.

Special congratulations to Mark. When there is something to do with events or Forum items, Mark is always present, gives answers and solutions. Great Mark!

I also want to thank my fellow EMT members for the support and help when there were questions, especcialy when I started as ASHA division commander.
As you know I'm dedicated to the ASHA Division, and want to thank the other members of the ASHA team; I never had reached this position without them.

Thanks again you all and I hope I can serve you for a long time.
