Title: A380 Shorter Flights
Threaded Mode
#1
Hello All
I can't remember whether I have asked about this before but here goes.
For obvious reasons there are not to many sub 1500 ml flights for the A380 .If there are any more than the few already at AS then it would be good to have them available.I really enjoy the A380 (Robert Versluys version) PA model flaps its wings just a little to much for my liking ,unfortunately whichever model I may use I cant spend the time on the 'normal' long(mighty long) haul A380 flights.
cheers Andy
PS Knowing how the AS flight logger works ,is it OK to perform a long haul flight in sections (perhaps three hr stages over a couple of days, for example a transatlantic flight if you can't manage the full six ,seven ,eight hrs in one session.
Cheers Andy

A good shorter route for the A380 is Sydney-Auckland-Sydney or Melbourne-Auckland-Melbourne with Emirates, 3-4 hour sectors.

Emirates also flies Dubai-Jeddah-Dubai about 2.30hrs, flights can be found in the Schedule Flight Division Smile

Thanks Norm.
I know about those flights you have pointed out (a few Emirates ,Thai ),but was just wondering if there were any other real world flights of that duration (800-1500 mls) that could be made available for AS users.
As I said in my first post ,for obvious reasons I don't suppose there are ,but I thought I would ask just in case. Smile
PS Any idea about my query regarding long flights done in stages. That would increase my choice of A380 flights.
I don't no why (imagination probably) but I swear that the 380s of all freeware varieties seem to fly much better, smoother, beautifully level than any freeware 747s that I have ,and so have become my heavy of choice ,the only drawback being there are loads of 747 flights of the sort of distance I am looking for 700-1500 mls including cargo versions than for A380

Don't forget to watch the bid division. Obviously there aren't many of them since deliveries dont happen every day, but these aircraft have to get home somehow, so periodically, there are XFW-DXB, XFW-FRA & XFW-CDG flights in the 380.

Enjoy! ;-)

I just created in the BID division/Humanitarian flights some A380 flights.
Those are not real life flights but lower or about max 1600ml.

So, maybe you enjoy the flights.

Hello All
I have just completed a couple of flights from the 'Bid Flights' category, using the A380 on shorter trips.(as requested) So thanks Guys for your help regarding this issue. I have been a member of Airsource for some years now and never thought to check out the 'Bids' flight section until now.
cheers Andy
