Rest in peace Roy.

Re: RIP, Roy Loucks - AS129 - Michael - 05-11-2015

I cannot even begin to convey the gratitude I have for Roy..... He was a wonderful friend and a great mentor for me when I first came on board AirSource. Like Greg, I have many memories of chatting with Roy on Yahoo IM, through email and on our Round the World trips we took.

I'll never forget the first time I updated Delta Air Lines in the Scheduled Division; having watched every single one of his videos on YouTube (which I am saving locally in case anything happens to his YouTube channel) and still frakked it up in a major way.

He managed to fix my errors in a matter of maybe 30 minutes, sent me the files and insisted I still get credit for doing the work when I got them updated on the server. Look in dictionary and you will see Roy's picture under the definition of "gentleman".

Thank you for all the guidance Roy, and all the great laughs and fun we had together. May you always have a swift tailwind and clear blue skies in your eternal travels sir!

Truly sad to hear. Condolences to the family and God's speed to Roy.

Re: RIP, Roy Loucks - AS37 Norm Edwards - 05-12-2015

I moved house over a couple of weeks back and haven't had internet access until just today, so I was saddened to hear of Roy's passing.

Roy had been with AirSource a very long time (joined 11 October 2001) and played an integral part within the management team here as VP Scheduled Division. He devoted literally thousands of hours of his own time to create schedules for our pilots to fly and what we see today is in large part due to his devotion to AirSource and the thrill he had in helping anyone who had a question to ask or a request to make.

I recall about a decade ago flying online with Roy and others (Jeff Summers and Ron Reed will remember this) having a lot of fun flying around the countryside at low level and generally having fun like kids with new toys! This was Roy, a fun guy with a passion for the hobby and an undeniable love of helping people.

I know the Executive Management Team as a whole will miss his contribution immensely.

RIP Roy.

I didn't know until today. A great loss to all of us as a friend and a teacher. Sad
His videos were right on the mark. I miss and wish I had known him more
He was a great man to many of us at AirSource and we will miss him.
My prayers for him and his family.
