Title: Same AI flight flew part way with me
Threaded Mode
#1
This is very rare as i havent found this happens too often.

I am flying a Cathay flight from Hong Kong to SFO and while i was flying i noticed a 747-400 flying near by when the ATC contacted them i realized it was the EXACT same flight # as what i was flying and same airline.

How crazy. Ive had this happen only a few times i think where i the flight schedules of the AI aircraft actually matched up perfectly with the schedule here on AirSource.

Wild Stuff.

I had an even weirder event yesterday. I was flying 4 ASHA missions in the Kingair 350, "ASHA flight 21" was what I called myself. And at every airport I had an exact same AI Kingair 350 being called "ASHA 1" !!

Funny it happened again like 3 times this week, once just now with my Cathay 873 flight out of SFO and then 2 others, one flight out of Beijing and then one out of sfo to china. with china airlines.... crazy!

My AirAsia flight from ZSAM Gaoqi to Suvarnabhumi VTBS got interesting crossing Hong Kong, as two separate AirAsia flights followed me in. Somehow one of them was able to get in front of me along the way, however, and beat me by about seven miles.

Only bad thing is MyAAS ate my flight. :p

I landed and had taxied to the gate, and the time had saved on MyAAS, but when I went to PIREP it told me it needed to update and relaunch. After the update, it never relaunched, and after trying a few times, it just kept asking to update. I ran it again the next day, and after another update, all it gave me the option to PIREP were old flights from the prior week that I didn't finish.

HMMmm...I'm guessing that if you had just shut down MyAAS, instead of PIREP'ing, that it would have saved your time and it would have been available to PIREP after you reconnected and updated...but how the heck were you to know that an update is waiting to happen??? You could not. Seems like the "perfect storm"?

My time was on there to be filed after shutting down the program, but it still kept giving me the message that it would update and restart each time I sent.

When you say"shutting down"...do you mean pressing STOP or actually closing MyAAS?

I had already closed out of the program before attempting to PIREP, if that is what you are asking.
