Title: Czech Air Force Addition request
Threaded Mode
#1
Hi,
please, could You add Czech Air Force into AirSource database and enable it for Bid Flight Division?

ICAO: CEF
Callsign: Czech Air Force
("Czech Air Force One" if the President of the Czech Republic is on board)
Country: Czech Republic
Name: Czech Air Force
Website: http://www.army.cz/scripts/detail.php?id=8627

CEF A319CJ image: avaliable here.

Tail logo for the AirSource database: available here.

The tail logo is the insignia of the 24th Transport Airbase (LKKB - Kbely) and also is used by the 241st Transport Squadron which (besides other aircrafts) operates the two A319CJs.
--------------------------------------
The A319CJ type is used for government flights (VIP config) and for army transport and humanitarian flights (standard config).

I'd like to post VIP flights as bid flights times to times. For exapmple, the President uses the A319CJ during his official visit to Brazil and Peru just now - very nice set of bid flights I think.

FS aircraft model is available as both payware and freeware. CEF livery is available for several payware and freeware models (http://www.flightsim.com, search for Czech Air Force, for example).

Thanks very much

Martin, AS099

Quick question: if Air Forces are being added to the database (I'm not sure that they are), wouldn't it make more sense for the logo to be the roundel?

I've added the Czech Air Force as an airline.

If you're adding BIDs Martin please be wary not to add any that would conflict with operations of the ASHA Division.

Tom will have to add the logo

Hi All,

I am not really sure if the flights described here would not be better off in the ASHA Division. I guess I'll be fair and wait to see what type of flights are designed.

Thanks!

If it's simply a VIP flight transporting the President, then probably not that Humanitarian Jim. Will see how imaginative Martin will be!

Transports are okay sure, we actually have had the US Air Force set up as an airline for quite some time - (AF1 anyone?)... and others like US Post Office, etc.

Logo added..

My intention is to post VIP flights only. An example: During these days, our President is somewhere in South America. Every day, he writes an article about his journey (official visit). These articles are published in our newspapers and their internet versions the next day. Mr. President also writes some details like "...we departed at..., we had stopover at... for one hour, ...we arrived at..." and also he adds some clues about routing in case it's rather unusual. Such a "presidential journey log" or similar info about other flights IMHO is a good base for creating bid flights - as real as possible. I'm sure, at least Mark likes such real flights. And I like them, too.

I do not like politicians very much. On the other hand, those men in the A319CJ cockpit are not politicians. They do their job and sometimes fly to interesting and far destinations, like South America today, Australia and N.Z. some time ago (and again in the future, I believe) etc. etc. These flights are pure civilian, longhaul VIP transport. These flights are not flown (and cannot be posted) under the Czech Airlines, ATI, AirSource or even ASHA flag.

To Jim:
Humanitarian flights and military transport flights are military operations. Details are not publicly available. Such flights can not be posted as bids.

To iang77:
I'd been thinking over which logo to use, a roundel or a lion. Finally, I prefer the CEF A319CJ tail logo to be used, just like in case of any civilian airline in the AirSource database, to enhance the fact that the flights are VIP (civilian) transport, not military. I will not post any other than CEF A319CJ flights. For more, the lion is not only the A319CJ tail logo, it is a part of our national emblem, too.

Tom and Mark, thanks for assistance Smile

I'm unable to edit CEF Airline Bio.
For more, after PIREPing the first BID flight, the CEF airline details page is unaccessible.
An error message appears instead:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000b'
Division by zero
/Operations/Scheduled/AirlineDETAIL.asp, line 449

Tom, please, could You fix it?

Edit:
Btw. when I click on any airline logo (except ASHA) in my logbook, I receive similar message:
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000b'
Division by zero
/Operations/SCHEDULED/AirlineDETAIL.asp, line 440

Thanks much,
Martin, AS099
