Title: Time Recording Bug
Threaded Mode
#1
Hi Joe,

I have noticed that there is an internal timing issue somewhere. MyAAS2 keeps recording flight time even though FSX is paused. Now I am not sure if this is during flight or once the ground time limit is reached. In both cases the light does go from green to yellow, but then when I finish and PIREP my times are way too high.

Thanks!

Bummer, I thought all that was working correctly. I'll have a look Thursday and see if I can find the cause. Thanks Jim.

I know from experience  that this is a most annoying bug, I think this has happened in all 3 versions of myAAS - but thanks for reporting it Jim!

Tom,

We aren't talking about the slight drift between real hours and flight hours. This is a case where this version is still recording time, even though I am not flying. These shorter 727-100 flights are what has brought it to my attention. Example: my 3+ hour flight that I just PIREPed was recorded as a 13.8 hour flight, but FSX was paused for most of that time.

Roger that - but rest assured, Joe will have it all fixed up! Glad you were able to discover this now.

Funny thing though as it didn't happen to me a while back on my flight from Germany, I tried all sorts of stuff like slew, pause, time accel, etc..? Hope it's not a hard bug to find in the code.

I agree, because last night's flight I did was A OK.

Hey Jim-
Trying to track this down. Just out of curiosity, did you go straight from being paused to ending the flight (without unpausing first)?

If not, do you remember when you first noticed that the time was off?

Land, taxi and park. Then usually the 50 minute ground time has kicked in. Then end flight.

About 2 weeks ago flying the 3-4 hour B727-100 flights but having 10+hours being recorded.

Sorry, at what point in the flight did you notice the time was off

At the PIREP stage.
