Title: Unable to find Flight Sim
Threaded Mode
#1
I always fly using AAS2, but now when I select a flight I get the message 'could not connect to flight sim'.
Flight Sim is FS2004 (FS9).
I deleted and reinstalled AAS2. Ver 2.0.1004.
I deleted and reinstalled FSUIPC. Ver 3.999z2
What do I do next ?
regards
Allan

Hi Allan-

'Could not connect to flight sim' is always attributed to FSUIPC (at least in myAASv2).

A couple of things to have a look at. When you run FS there should be a menu entry for Modules->FSUIPC. Check to see if that is there. If not...look in your \modules for fsuipc.dll.

Also, I don't think it will make any difference, the latest version of FSUIPC is 3.999z9. Make sure the installer points to where you installed FS at.

Also, maybe try the FS registry repair tool from Flight1 before re-installing FSUIPC.
http://www.flight1software.com/files/FS_...Repair.exe

Give that a try and let us know.

Also make sure you are at an airport before starting MyAAS2 even though it should recognize when you are.

Thanks for the advice guys. I was using a recently added aircraft, PA/PSS A319 so I changed aircraft and behold everything connected okay. Then whilst AAS was on top, before starting the flight, I changed back to the A319 and everything held. Computer glitch or config for the A319 I don't know, but will keep a close eye on it.
