Title: AS483 - Up Up & Away
Threaded Mode
#1
Hi guys, I've been an avid Truck Simulator driver for many years (and a Division Manager for the company I drive at for the last 2+ years). After just messing around on arcade type flying games I decided it was time to further my knowledge base with proper simulation (since that is what I prefer). I've had a few hours flying time now and I do love making the odd video of my travels (been doing that for a long time in the trucking company), so I thought that I would create this topic and keep adding some of my travels to it if that's ok with everyone.

This 1st video (there are more in my channel) that I'm showing here is me in the Airbus A321. It was a sheduled flight that I flew yesterday from Munich to Heathrow for British Airways (a return flight). The (timelapse) video shows my take-off & landing. Feel free to comment, give advice, laugh at me, whatever you need to do

Peter,

Nice video, thanks for sharing and keeping the thread open with updates sounds great!

Noticed the other plane taking off opposite direction - but landing wasn't too bad!

Thanks for the reply Tom. I did exactly as the ATC instructed. I saw the aircraft that took off as I was coming for approach, but he was not near me (video is sped up X8 at that point). I'm hoping that the ATC are good enough to advice on possible crashes

Oh yes FSX has flaky ATC for sure - in fact if the runways change assinment due to wind, I don't think ATC responds to change your aircraft once the initial arrival sequence is loaded.

Yesterday I managed to fly from London Heathrow to Belfast Airport and then make the return trip. Here is that return flight in full (but timelapsed so that you don't get too bored). Hope you all appreciate the 1st song

I have made myself a logo picture. Thinking of putting it at the start of my flight videos and now placed it as my forum icon Big Grin

I thought that I would showcase a bit of fun I had with some of my Trucking Simulator friends (all adults). You never know, they may soon be AirSource pilots with a bit of luck

I drive for Stobart Trucking VTC (and have done for 3 years) and as you can see from the pics above we used a custom livery for our Cessna's flight across the Netherlands & France a couple of evenings ago (one of the drivers likes to play with skins). I have noticed that the company has some Stobart Air flights & will be passing this information on to the guys (obviously not trying to entice them to join or anything  ).

Pics from some of my latest flights. These include the special flight that I logged in aid of Roger Dean where I flew a US Airways flight in the Airbus A321 with the call sign AS283), a pic from an evenings flight with friends in Cessna's, and my 1st flights using a Douglas C-47 (which scares the hell outta me).
