Title: 20th Anniversary Around the World Event!
Threaded Mode
#1
2022 marks the 20th anniversary of Air-Source's first Around the World (RTW) event and what way to celebrate that than having a RTW event! This years trip is again created and coordinated by AS129 Michael Johnson and will consist of 40 legs totaling more than 38,000 miles around the globe. In addition to some beautiful scenery along the way, there are a few challenging destination airports you'll be flying into as well. While the traditional aircraft of our around the world trips in the past has been the Convair 580, feel free to fly ANY aircraft you find suitable based on route creation, distance and runway requirements.

When planning your routing of your booked legs, make plans to so some sightseeing along the way. Particularly the Norwegian fjords on leg 8, that Nile River trek on leg 15 and the Himalayan transit on legs 18 and 19.

Awards and V$ will be given after completion of this years journey, crew passes will be available here on Saturday, January 29th here: [event completed] and will expire after ONE year. Fuel up, pack your flight bags and enjoy this years anniversary RTW event!

It's great to see Paro on the schedule! Usually one of the "most dangerous airports". Search "Paro" on youtube for some real life videos of app and dep.

Yeah, I though it would be cool to throw a couple of challenging airports in the mix this time around. Glad you are enjoying the event!

From Wikipedia:
Johnston Atoll Airport is located on the Johnston Atoll in the United States Minor Outlying Islands, in the Pacific Ocean 717 nautical miles (1328 kilometers) southwest of Hawaii. It was an active U.S. military facility during the 20th century, but the airport was shut down in 2005 and the runway is not maintained.

What is the final decision from the Judges? PJON

No trouble Don. Air Source has special permission to land... just search for airport code JON for your permission to land Smile
