Title: UN HUMANITARIAN AIR SERVICE EVENT 2025 (CONCLUDED)
Threaded Mode
#1
To kick off 2025, Air Source has a new event, to start immediately on 1st January.

The United Nations Humanitarian Air Service (UNHAS) is a specialized delivery service that conveys much required humanitarian supplies to needy areas in addition to providing UN passenger services. The recently updated Schedule Division flights for the UNHAS are all realistic and taken from genuine flight schedules.

The event will run for 3 months and conclude on 31st March 2025 and will provide our rostered pilots the opportunity to work towards achieving a logbook award, in addition to flying into/out of some interesting and challenging airports, mostly on the African continent, where weather conditions can also be challenging.

To be awarded the logbook award and the sum of V$30,000, pilots must complete 30 flights from the UNHAS schedule that are listed in the Schedule Division. https://air-source.us/Operations/SCHEDU ... irline=UNO

PLEASE NOTE: It is important that pilots PIREPs at the conclusion of each flight has the code UNHAS included, in order that we can track progress.

Any issues please contact the undersigned, but above all, enjoy the event and as always, have fun!

On behalf of EMT, Happy New Year and best wishes to you all.

Norm,

Thank you for putting this together. I am already plugging away at some flights, and as I can see so are many others as well.

Farchana Airport (FTAE) - Farchana, Chad.
This airport is not found on FSX or FS2020, so is good practice for a bush landing, choosing some clear Savannah near the town with the UN base. There is a flight from there to FTTJ so with a refuel I took off and set course to FTTJ. All good fun.

A quick reminder to those pilots participating in this event, it expires on 31 March 2025, so just a few more days to go to complete at least 30 flights in order to receive the logbook award and V$ Wink
